Licence and who runs it
PlayAmo’s own footer, read directly on 3 September 2026, states: “playamo.com is owned and operated by Novatrix SRL that is incorporated under the laws of Costa Rica with company registration number 3-102-893958 and having its registered address at Province 03 of Cartago, County 07 of Oreamuno, Potrero Cerrado, North Side of Manuel Avila Camacho School, Costa Rica is operating under E-gaming license No. 0000002 issued by Tobique Gaming Commission.” That is the operator’s own claim, in full, and it is worth reading closely: Costa Rica has no gambling-specific regulator, so the incorporation detail carries no licensing weight on its own, and the actual authorisation rests entirely on “Tobique Gaming Commission.”
This review tried to find a public register, an official website with checkable licensee records, or any independent confirmation that the Tobique Gaming Commission issues and oversees licences in a verifiable way, and came up with nothing. AskGamblers separately lists an additional Anjouan Gaming Board licence for PlayAmo, a body this review has seen named for other small casinos but likewise without a usable public register. Two named regulators, neither checkable, is not the same as one solid licence with a paperwork gap. It is a pattern worth naming directly: a casino operating without any licence a player, a journalist or a regulator elsewhere could actually verify.
