Three regulators matter for an Irish player in 2026. The Malta Gaming Authority publishes a licensee register that lists every company, its licence number and the brands under it. The UK Gambling Commission publishes a public register with the same detail plus enforcement history. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland issues remote betting licences since July 2026 and is expected to open online casino licensing in 2027; when its register lists casinos, this tool will check against it first.

Curaçao licences are recorded here but weighted low, because the recourse for a player in Ireland is thin. A brand whose licence could not be matched to any register is shown as "as stated by the site", which is a polite way of saying unverified. The licence tracker follows the Irish rollout in detail.

What does this tool check?

It looks the name up against the casinos reviewed on this site and returns the licence recorded in the review, whether that licence was verified at the regulator register, the operating company where known, and the verdict. It does not query a regulator live; the review date tells you how fresh the check is.

The casino I typed is not found. Is it unsafe?

Not necessarily. It means the brand has not been reviewed here yet. Check it yourself on the regulator register: the Malta Gaming Authority licensee register, the UK Gambling Commission public register, or the GRAI register once it opens. A licence number in a footer is not evidence until it matches an entry.

Why does a Curaçao licence count for less?

Because an Irish player has almost no route to complain. Malta and the UK run public registers, complaint procedures and dispute bodies; Curaçao licences, even after the 2024 reform, offer far less. The ratings on this site weight licence quality at 30 percent.

What will change when Irish casino licences arrive?

From 2027 the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland is expected to license online casinos directly. The register it publishes becomes the only one that matters for Irish players, and this tool will check against it.
